Lois Donatelli

Lois A. Donatelli, of Rising Sun, Indiana died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash care center after a long fight against kidney disease and infections. 

Born in Wartburg, Tennessee, August 9, 1945, to Arthur and Dorothy Lawson.  Lois was an avid gardener, she absolutely loved the outdoors, nature and taking long walks along the Ohio River.  Growing up was hard in the mountains of Tennessee so the family moved to Cincinnati when she was a teenager, where she helped her mother to raise her 12 siblings.  She only went to the 8th grade in school but it didn’t stop her to achieve her GED later on in life.  She was a very hard dependable worker.  She was an absolute go-getter, she wanted something, she would go and work hard to get it.  She worked numerous of jobs over the years to make ends meet, from newspaper routes in Cincinnati when we were toddlers to operating machines in factories.  

She chose to live out her days in Rising Sun Indiana to be near the gambling boats that she enjoyed walking to daily, chatting with many people and making friends and eating out at. 

Lois is survived by: her three daughters, Denice Siereveld and her husband Steve, Tonya Baker and her husband Jon and Ronda Whitter and her husband Bob; all of her grandchildren, Alicia, Jeffery, Alexus, Alisseia, Pearl, Stephanie,  Blaine, Bobby, Rachel, Joshua, Elizabeth, Isaac, Jacob and Whitney, numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Willie Lawson and his wife Bobbi, David Lawson and his wife Ellen, Violet Lawson, and Diane Sutton and her husband Gary. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Donatelli, her father and mother Arthur and Dorothy Lawson, and her siblings Anna Lawson, Arthur Jr Lawson, Jerry Lawson, Raymond Lawson, Mattie Lawson, Sharon Lane, Brenda Andi, and Stevie Lawson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
