Thelma C. Caine

Thelma C. Caine was born August 22, 1927 in Browns, Alabama. She was the second of 7 children. She departed this life on April 17, 2019.

Thelma was a faithful employee at Saxony Imports, James & Company for 40 plus years. Upon her retirement she would spend her winters in San Diego, California and summers at home in Cincinnati.

She was a faithful member of New Unity Baptist Church, under Rev. Mark Toney, until her health began to fail.

She loved her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Thelma was loved and endeared by many people throughout her life and she will be missed.

Thelma was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Edward Bettis & Franklin Gilmore; and 2 sisters, Inez Acoff & Laurena Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Arthur Caine; daughter, Joann Walters; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Walters, Arthur Caine, Jr., Tiffany Watson and Dion Mantrel Calhoun; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Regina Wheeler of Cincinnati, Ohio and Eula Stephens of San Diego, California and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Aunt Thelma, as she was affectionately called, will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the New Unity Baptist Church, 2124 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati  (45219).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, 45220.
