Virgil (Butch) Daugherty Jr. of Covington, Ky passed from this life on Monday, May 25, 2020 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1960 to Virgil Lee Daugherty Sr. and Fern Faye Garrison Capps who preceded him in death. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a fun-loving man with a smile that infected all who knew him. He was a fighter and stayed in good spirits until the end, he was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Virgil is survived by his significant other of 26 years, Brenda Beekman, a son, Virgil Blake Daugherty of Covington, Ky, 2 bonus sons Michael Beekman (Sarah McGlothin) of Covington, Ky, and Joshua Beekman (Desirae) of Ryland Heights, Ky, 6 bonus grandchildren, seven sisters, Carol Cain (Steve) of Marysville, Ohio, Jeannie Bunch (Rick) of Russell Springs, Ky, Linda Daugherty Alsip of Somerset, Ky, Carol Daugherty Siegert (Joe) of Hebron, Ky, Mary Daugherty of Somerset, Ky, Donna Daugherty Burdine (Tommy) of Somerset, Ky, Tonya Capps of Marvelle, Ark, one brother James Price (Marsha) of Shopville, Ky, 16 nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Also, surviving are his close friends Kenny Mitchem and John Groneck.
