Vena Dionne Lynn

Vena Dionne Lynn was born on July 25, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Denise Rasool and Jimmy Lynn. She made her transition to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2021. She was baptized as an infant at St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she participated in Sunday School, youth activities, and Youth Choir. At age 12, Dionne joined Cincinnati Bibleway Church where she enjoyed participating in Liturgical Dance.

Dionne graduated from Princeton High School in 1990. There she participated in many extracurricular activities. She played the trumpet and French horn in the marching band for four years. She was also a member of the legal club, the debate club, flag corps, concert choir, cheerleading, and she was also a majorette. She enjoyed other activities such as tap dancing and playing softball during the summer months. After graduating High School, she attended Kent State University as a pre-law major where she joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc and played college volleyball.

Dionne was currently employed at Anthem where she was recently promoted to Customer Service Specialist II. She was a sweet spirit who loved her family. She was a single mother who was dedicated to loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. Dionne had a true love for music and she enjoyed singing and rapping with her family and friends.

Dionne leaves to cherish her memory: her parents Denise Woods and Jimmy Lynn; her beloved grandmother, Martha Bachelor; her siblings, David Woods, James Richardson (Dorena), Curtis Lynn, LaShonda Lynn, Ivanna Lynn, and Isaiah Lynn; her great aunt, Frances Webb, her aunt, LaShell Sanks (Timothy), her children, Yasmine Rogers, Ajah Rogers, Shamir Bates, Davionne Bates, Jyaire Roundtree, Gianna Roundtree, and Nyah Lynn; 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Nzeer Rasool and Robert Bachelor; her grandparents Pansey and Joe Lynn, and her aunt, Melody Manson.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
