Sol Raymond Gause Jr. November 25, 1944—March 7, 2021
Sol Raymond Gause Jr. was born on November 25, 1944 to the union of the late Sol R. Gause Sr. and Martha Bonds Gause Pitts in Henning Tennessee. Sol was the third of five children. His siblings, Oliver and Diane preceded him in death. Sol was united in marriage to Ella M. Davis of Cincinnati Ohio for 45 years, and from that union three children were born.
Sol gave his life to Christ and while he was not a churchgoer, he was a believer. Sol graduated from Central high school in Cincinnati, Ohio and earned an Associate’s Degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College with a major in Tailoring. Over the course of his life he worked as a Machinist, Tailor, and an established Artist his favored medium was wood. Wood working by far was his passion; known for conducting workshops to demonstrate the art of making canes. While living in Wisconsin he worked at Harley Davidson, Pabst Brewery and Harnischfeger.
He leaves to cherish his memory, parents Sol R Gause Sr (D) and Martha Bonds Gause Pitts (D); siblings, Oliver Gause (D), Flora Foster of Cincinnati Oh, Diane Gause-Phillips (D), James Gause and Mark Gause residing in Cincinnati, Ohio; Dearly Beloved friend, Marietta Cromwell who was a friend, confidant and caregiver as his health declined; children, Tonya Gause Hughes (Michael) of Clarksville, TN, Pamela Gause Lofton (D), Ronald Jackson, Prince Jackson, Derrick Gause of Cincinnati, OH and Eddie Jackson residing in Milwaukee, Wi; grandchildren, Kay Stanley (Paata), Kayla Sledge of Atlanta GA, Tana Gause, Tiffany Fitzgerald, Tierra Jackson (Anthony), Prince Moran, nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
