Roger  Gentry 
January 25, 1959 - August 11, 2022

Roger Gentry known to many as "Gentry" was born January 25, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jesse B. Gentry and Anna Pearl (Campbell) Gentry.  He departed this life on August 11, 2022, at the age of 63.  Roger attended and graduated from Aiken High School.  He gave forty years of his life to the workforce industry and continued to work up until his illness took over.  Roger was baptized and an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church led by Reverend Damon Lynch, III.

Roger was known as a sharp dresser.  He loved to look nice.  Roger did not bite his tongue and was very outspoken.  If you came to him with anything, he was going to tell you how it was, "straight no chaser".  But with all that, he was a kind person, a genuine soul who would give anyone the shirt off his back.  He enjoyed watching movies, having family gatherings and sitting outside listening to his music.  His wife and children were near and dear to his heart.  He would do anything for them and loved them very much.

Roger was preceded in death by his late parents, Jesse and Anna Pearl Gentry; four sisters, Janet Gentry, Sharon Gentry Smith, Florence Gentry Brock and Charlotte Gentry; and his brothers, Donald, Daniel and Jerry Gentry.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife and best friend of 32+ years, Patricia Ann Gentry (Robinson); his daughters, Bridgit and India Davis, Asia Robinson (Tink Tink) and donna Robinson; eight grandchildren, Kyrah, Ronaysha, Di'Ajah, Ronald, Zah'Mir, Bri'Iylah, Dacoda, Ron'Nez and his great grandchild.  Roger also leaves five of his brothers, David, Harry, Larry, Herbert, Richard and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the New Prospect Baptist Church, 1580 Summit Road, Cincinnati  (45237).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
