Robert Mitchell Fields

Robert was born in Cynthiana Kentucky to William Fields and Nancy Greene Fields on September 22, 1939.

He went to Wayne High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Robert was a devoted husband to Yvonne Fields (White)for over 25 years. Robert was a loving father of six children from a previous marriage (Barbara Fields).

Robert worked as a Mutual Clerk/ Business Manager for Belterra Racetrack (formerly known as River Downs) for 52 years. Robert also worked at the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler for over 35 years.

Robert was raised in the Catholic church.

He had a love for all sports, he was the best spades and bid whist card player, he had a passion for handicapping horses, and he was a bowler himself.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, William Fields and mother Nancy Fields (Greene) and his brothers, Reggie Fields and Edward Fields.

Robert is survived by: his wife, Yvonne Fields; his children, Rhonda Gober (GA), Roberta Sharp, Michele Echols, Angela Fields, Gigi Fields, David Fields (IN) and Tony White; his siblings,  Wayne Fields, William Fields and Pamela Fields and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Donations may be given in lieu of flowers to: Feedtheyouth.org All donations will be used to form a scholarship in honor of Robert Fields named the” Robert Fields Scholarship Fund”. 

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am, family only. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
