Mary Travis Obituary

Mary "Pug" F. Travis (Collins), was born on January 29, 1939, to the deceased Rose Clark (Collins) in Livingston, Alabama. She passed away on February 23, 2021, due to complications from COVID. Upon leaving Livingston, Mary relocated to Detroit, Michigan, she later settled in Cincinnati, Oh.

She was employed at the Westin Hotel, where she worked in customer service for over 20 years until she retired. However, she remained faithful in serving the people. Her original home was with New Saint Paul Baptist Church (Rev. Donald Fairbanks). Upon his departure, she began to serve Agape Praise & Worship Center (Rev. Ronald Glover).

Mary T, as she was referred to, loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved to go to the Goodwill across the river, do a lot of shopping with only twenty dollars, and then call her grandkids to come and pick her up. She was known for making the best macaroni and cheese for every occasion. But a fun fact is that she did not even eat it, she just loved watching everyone else enjoy it.

She had some special friendships. Her cousin/sister, Dorothy "Dot" Hayes; close friends Ms. Carrie Gilmore, Ms. Diana Strickland, Ms. Elizabeth "Cookie" Fairbanks, Ms.Pinkie Tombs, and Ms. Diane Murray.

Mary was proceeded in death by her daughter, Doris L. Floyd (Collins), fathered by the deceased Lorenzo Eppes, and her oldest grandson Lorenzo "Flucky" Collins.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories, Grandchildren: Rosetta "Nay" (Chris) Tombs Sr., LaQuanda "Baby Girl "(Brian) Collins, Ronald "Butter"(Sarah) Floyd Jr. Great grandkids: Kristie T., Chris T. Jr., Cieara C., Jamaica C., Jvonnie C., Myon F., Sir Ronald F., Kamerin F., and Louvae F. Great-great grandkids: Amora C., Alan C., and Christian T. She also cared for and loved Christopher Tombs Sr., Sarah Douglas, and Robert Patterson III as her grandkids as well. Along with a host of family and friends.
