Major Cody Obituary

Major Robert Cody was born to William and Lucille Cody on August 29, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio at General Hospital. Major was one of six siblings.

Major went to Hayes Elementary, Porter Junior High and graduated from Taft  High School. During his years at Taft he played football, but also participated in Body Building and their wrestling team which he enjoyed being apart of each sport. After High School Major was employed with Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer Department which he retired from.

Family and friends describe Major as one of Cincinnati’s flyest guys in the West End with a big heart, fun, loving, caring and a big personality. Major was known for his Blue Regal, staying dressed from head to toe and to top it off he wore a fresh carnations everyday.

Major was preceded in death by: father, William Cody, mother Lucille Cody, brothers, Preston Stenson, William Reed, Milton Cody and Charles Montgomery. He is survived by his only son Major McQueen, sister Jacqueline Murph, brother-in-law Ben Murph;  7 grandkids,10 great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews.

Major had double leg amputation in 2018 but he didn’t allow that to stop him. As we all knew Major(MC)Cody
He continued live his life as if he had never lost his legs. He would curse you out, but told you he loved you in the same breathe. He would get kicked out of stores but was welcomed with open arms the next day.  He was as harmless as a fly as they would say, with his hat cocked to the side and walk you couldn’t forget.

Major passed on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his residence at the age of 62. Major will be deeply missed by all of his family and countless friends.
