Ethel Marie Medley

Ethel Marie Curtis Medley, 89 of Wilmington closed her eyes in rest on August 29, 2021, at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the Late John and Lizzie Lightfoot Curtis. 
Ethel graduated from Winchester High School in1950 where she distinguished herself as a Shot Put athlete and received numerous medals and awards.
She was married to the Late Arthur L. Medley, Jr, and from their union were born two children Karen and Gary.

Ethel was an active member of Bible Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years serving in multiple church ministries. She volunteered for community programs adopting a child for the holiday, solicitor for American Cancer Society and donating to St. Jude Children’s Research.

She retired after 30 years at Wilmington Randall Company a vice president of the Brotherhood Carpenters Union. Outstand woman of Clinton County honoree in class of 2017.
Her love language was gift giving.  Her love of family, friends and faithfulness to God has impacted the lives of all she has come in contact.

Visitation is from 12 noon until 1:00 pm, on  Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Bible Missionary Baptist Church, 243 Grant St, Wilmington  (45177).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. 

Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, 297 W. Truesdell Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
