Donnie Lee Carter Dickey, affectionately known as "Greedy," age 48, a lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Donnie was born on January 26, 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of Shirley Grant and Donnie Lee Carter Sr. He was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system and attended Princeton High School, later earning his GED, a testament to his determination and perseverance.

A true Cincinnati native, Donnie spent his life rooted in the city he loved. He was known for his hands-on nature and was a true jack of all trades, always willing to help fix, build, or figure things out for those he loved. Donnie found joy in spending time with family, cooking, fishing, shooting pool, and creating moments filled with laughter and fellowship.

Though he did not have a formal church home, Donnie was a God-fearing man and believer, carrying his faith quietly but sincerely in his heart and daily life.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Grant and Donnie Lee Carter Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse, Shana Brown; his beloved children: Kiairra Washington, Shantrel Thomas, Donshae Thomas, Kayann Dickey, Donovan Dickey, Da'leikh Dickey, Donayah Dickey, Donnique Dickey, Dehemiah Dickey, and Darius Dickey; and his treasured grandchildren: Raya Ferguson, Jace Mack, Aiden Mack, Reagan Branham, Damian Thomas, Lamar Owenbillingsley, Carter Lee Thomas, King Wallace, Shamed Lee Gracen, Jariya Love Gracen, and Emorie Gracen.

He is also survived by his siblings: Dwayne Dickey, Kimico Atkins (Kynan), Earl Dickey, Peggy Enoch, Savon Gibson Sr. (Rebecca), Quinn Brown, Lee Carter, Parthina Enoch, and Eugene Enoch; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, and close friends who will forever remember his presence, humor, and love.

Donnie "Greedy" Dickey will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
