TO VIEW / PRINT / DOWNLOAD FUNERAL PROGRAM https://www.scribd.com/doc/303230056/Clarence-Harvey-Funeral-Program Clarence Ray Harvey 1952 - 2016 Clarence Ray Harvey, endearingly known to all as "Brother" was born to Ida Lee Polk and Theodore Phillips on August 5, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the second oldest of five children. On Sunday, February 28, 2016, at the age of 63, he rested his soul. Through the biblical teachings and disciplines of his grandparents, Mamie and Buford Harvey Sr. (both pre deceased) respectively, he accepted Christ as his Savior at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. He received his formal education at Lincoln Heights High School, proudly served in the Armed Forces (Navy) from 1972 until 1976 and went to have a life long career as a Chef. "Dennis The Menace" had nothing on Brother when you think about all of the pranks, situations, and/or predicaments (too numerous to mention!) he would always find himself in. We all have stories of how we have fallen victim to one of his schemes and/or let him convince one of us to join him in carrying out one of his "anything but right" acts!" When we think of his "rascal ways" (as the old folk would say), we must give honorable mentions to his buddy "Carmen" (pre-deceased) and in the later years his cousins "Candy" and "Michael" (pre-deceased) but despite all, Brother will be remembered for having a kind heart and always opening his home to anyone in need. In his leisure, "Party Harvey" enjoyed cooking (move over Food Network…he could throw down!) and having a good time with his family & friends while dancing and listening to good music. That is what he will be most remembered for amongst many things! Brother will be sorely missed by everyone, especially his friends and family who visited him at his apartment on a daily basis. This will be especially true of his Aunt Mauline and Uncle Ted who became his caregivers over the last few years transporting and ensuring he kept his doctor's appointments at the VA. Clarence was truly blessed and leaves to cherish His memory: His Mother: Mrs. Ida Lee Polk, His Father: Theodore Phillips, Sons: Deon and Dwayne Hunter, Siblings: Marilyn Willis, Charmaine Polk, Marty Polk (Marsha), and Panda Dumas, Uncle: Charles Phillips, Aunts: Mauline Grant (Theodore), Pauline Williams, Ethel Harvey, Kate Smith and Marilyn Long, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Walker - Mt. Healthy Chapel, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow Landmark Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio. To share a memory of Clarence or leave a special message for the Harvey family, please click the Share Button below.
