Anthony Harris Obituary

Anthony F. "Buster" Harris was born March 25, 1954 to the late James Linwood and Mary Alice Harris in Cincinnati, Ohio.  On Sunday, June 13, 2001, Buster departed this life at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Buster accepted Christ at an early age at Philippians Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Bimbo.  He was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system.  He attended Washburn Elementary, Shield Elementary, Porter Jr. High School and Taft High Schools.

After several years working as an insurance salesman for a short time he worked in janitorial service.  He began working at Butternut bread until his medical retirement due to heart disease.

He was an avid sports fan.  He played football through his teenage years.  Watching sports on TV was his favorite past-time.  Buster loved people, therefore, was acquainted with many.  He loved to party especially with his family.  He was the life of every party he attended.

Buster leaves to cherish his memories; one daughter, Shannon N. Mitchell, one brother, Willie J. Harris (Jaunda), two sisters, Linda Harris-Richards (Albany GA.) and Christine Harris; three nephews, Willie R. Bonner, Dorian Richards and Dominic Richards (Albany GA.); three nieces, Kellie Harris (Atlanta GA.), Krystal Cook (Jacksonville FL.) and Kristy Cook; three grandchildren, De'Aries Poole (Deanna), Skyy Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell; three great-grand-children,  De'Aries Poole Jr., Dylan Poole and Carter Mitchell and a host of cousins and friends.

Special Thanks to all family and friends who took part in taking care of him.

Poem: Buster, it's so sad that you are gone, But my memories of you will live on, No doubt, you fought a fine fight, But now it's time for you to rest, it's alright, I will think of you always.  I will talk about you still , You have never been forgotten and never will, I know I can shed tears because you are gone But I can also smile because you lived I know your life had it's ups and downs and that's okay. But I thank you for sharing it with me in your special way We knew our relationship was different and that's okay But it's not how if started, but how it finished. So for now I will say goodbye. But when we meet again in the new world. We will greet with our arms opened wide.  It's time to rest for now.
