Yvonne 'Bonnie' Jones - her sunrise was January 13, 1950 and sunset was November 4, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Acklin and her father, Frazier Long. Yvonne was employed by Macy's for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed her duties and took great pride in her work. She was known for being dependable, conscientious and meticulous. There was never a task too big or small for her to tackle. One of the joys of her life was being with her grandchildren, Tiyanna, 15 and Michael, 9. She was always planning different trips with them. She was always present to cheer them on whether it was cheerleading with Tiyanna or football and baseball with Michael. She enjoyed traveling, her most recent trip was to Alaska and recently she had plans for a trip to the Caribbean. Some of her hobbies were spending time decorating and maintaining an organized and beautiful home. Early in Yvonne's life she became interested in art. She attended several art classes and was becoming pretty good with her drawings. Although she did not pursue her passion, every now and then we would find some of her drawings. To her family she was our rock, strength, problem solver, go to person; you could bring her any situation and she would sit down with you to solve it or accept it. She had an excellent spirit and was good at eveything she put her hand to. Yvonne leaves to mourn: her son, Michael of Cincinnati; her grandchildren, Tiyanna and Michael; her sisters, Gina, Carmen and Jasmine; nephews, Christopher, a host of other family and friends. Graveside service will be conducted at on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 11:00 am at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45232. Interment at Spring Grove Cemetery.
