Yvonne Hamby was born on February 10, 1953, to the late Edward and Irene Tolbert in Louisville, KY. She gained her heavenly wings on September 10, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patrice Marie Johnson; sister, Rolanda McClendon; and brother, Ronald Hamby.

She is survived by two beautiful and loving children, Russell (Tori) and Roxanne (Nashon); three grandchildren: Zora Yvonne Christina Johnson, Ferris Pierson, and Riley Isome; her bonus daughters, Denise Bax and Karen Joiner; her brother, Michael Hamby; four goddaughters: Lasaunya Wyche, Lintonia Stephens, Katrina Wyche, and Parish Ivery; one godson, Robert Joiner; and a host of family and friends.

Her smile would brighten any room, and she connected with everyone through her electrifying personality. She had the ability to make everyone feel special and loved. Her compassionate and loving heart led her to the healthcare profession. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. Her loved ones will always remember her with four endearing words: Family, Friends, Food, and Fun — demonstrating her love for life's simple pleasures and her kind spirit.

In honoring her spirit, we celebrate a fearless woman who loved hard, lived life to the fullest, and always made room for laughter. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
