Yolanda Bailey passed away May 8 at the age of 49. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 30, 1964. Please share your special messages with the Bailey family at www.HerbWalker.com. Yolanda Ann Bailey was the first of six children born December 30, 1964 to Phyllis Ferguson in Cincinnati, Ohio. Yolanda, well known to everyone, as "Lornie" was a very bright and smart child who enjoyed being with her family. She grew to become a kind, gentle, loving mother and grandmother, who truly enjoyed being a provider and nurturer for them. She was always there to help whenever you needed her. Yolanda attended North Avondale Elementary School and Woodward High School. Diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the young age of 16 did not stop her from graduating with Honors from Woodward High School in 1983. Yolanda began working at Frisch's Restaurant and went on to be a customer service representative for Federal Express. She continued to work at Federal Express until her health would no longer allow her to. Yolanda attended and studied at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her stepfather, Willie Ferguson preceded her in death. Yolanda leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Phyllis Ferguson; loving daughters, Christina Bolling, Shequila Appora (Magloire), and Ebony Dyer; nephew, Tony Jordan whom she raised as her son; brother, Larry Bailey (Yolanda); four sisters, Robin Hill, Cassandra Davis (Kevin), Nichole Strong (Atrin) and Angela Ferguson; stepsister, Regina Ferguson; nieces, Jennifer, Brittany, Zyaire, Zaniya; nephews, Brandon, Larry, DeMarcus, Jeremiah and Zackariah; grandchildren, Darnell, Zaike'am and Zakarah; great nieces and nephews; special friend/aunt Edwina Brown, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
