Yasmin A. Shelton entered into eternal rest and peace on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Hospice of Cincinnati, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 24, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Arvora Knight and Hazel Knight (née Allen).

Yasmin was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished great-grandmother, beloved aunt, loyal friend, and a woman of remarkable grace and strength. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Raised in Lincoln Heights, Ohio, she developed strong values rooted in family, faith, hard work, and perseverance—qualities that guided her throughout her life.

An exceptional student, Yasmin graduated at the top of her class from Princeton High School. As a young woman, she worked alongside her late sisters helping to manage her father's hotel, where she demonstrated a strong work ethic, leadership, and a genuine love for serving others. Her ability to connect with people and make everyone feel welcomed became one of her most admired qualities.

Yasmin's greatest accomplishment and source of pride was her family. She devoted her life to creating a loving home and nurturing her children with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. She was an active and involved mother who served as a homeroom mom and was always present for school activities, celebrations, and milestones. Known for hosting memorable family gatherings and wonderful parties, Yasmin brought people together with her warmth, hospitality, and joyful spirit. Her home was a place where family and friends were always welcomed, laughter was abundant, and lasting memories were made.

Family was truly the center of Yasmin's world. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Whether offering words of encouragement, celebrating achievements, or simply sharing everyday moments, Yasmin's love was constant and unconditional. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Yasmin was a woman of honor, integrity, and compassion. She lived her life by putting others before herself and found happiness in seeing those around her thrive. Her strength during difficult times, her unwavering support from her family, and her ability to make everyone feel loved will never be forgotten.

Yasmin was preceded in death by her parents, Arvora and Hazel Knight, and her beloved sisters, Marcia Allyson Knight and Denise Annette Knight.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Eddie Shelton (Kellie), Stephen Shelton, Sr. (Latrina), and Branden Shelton, Sr.; her beloved grandchildren, Eddie Shelton, Jr., Stephen Shelton, Jr., Stephenie Shelton, Tylen Shelton, Logan Shelton, Branden Louis Shelton, Jr., and Adriane Hazel Shelton; her treasured great-grandson, Johan Shelton; her niece, Yasmin Ria Schlegel; her nephew, Stephan McAdams; her great-nephews, Connor Aidan Schlegel and Malachi McAdams; her great-niece, Makyla McAdams; her cousins, Cheryl Clark and Michael Pearl; and a host of other relatives, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Yasmin's legacy of love, compassion, strength, generosity, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will remain a blessing, and her spirit will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
