IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Woodrow Mcdonald,
Jr.
June 4, 1946 – April 18, 2020
Woodrow McDonald, Jr. (Mac) was born on June 4, 1946 in Luverne, Alabama to Woodrow McDonald, Sr. and Olean Harrell McDonald. His mother passed away at a young age so he grew up in the home of grandparents, C.J. and Chalma Harrell. His Church Home was Roxana Baptist Church, Rutledge Alabama. Woodrow graduated from Crenshaw County Training School.
Woodrow moved to Cincinnati in 1965, and soon began a long career at General Motors. After retiring from GM, Mac started working in a number of various enterprises. His strong work ethic, passion for driving and interacting with people from all backgrounds motivated him to start a transportation company in 1989….Executive Car and Airport Limousine.
To carry on his memory, Mac leaves behind his wife of many years, Arunice McDonald; one son, Cedric McDonald; and four daughters, Tonia Gordon; Shieta Cunningham all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Keli Griffin (Shontez) of Lakeland, Florida; and Natasha Phiffer of Montgomery, Alabama. Additionally, Mac was the proud grandfather of 9: Tre (25), Taylor (18), Shalin (18), Tyre (6), Kameron (4), Sydney (1), Braxton (21), Jordyn (9) and Kyler (1 month), Mac was also a proud father to his beloved Dog, Foxie. He survived by three sisters, Mildred Loveless of Cincinnati, Ohio; Katherleen Pritchett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Dorothy Hall of Montgomery, Alabama. His dear brother, Wilson McDonald, preceded him in death. In-laws include: Edwina Martin of Montgomery, Alabama; Angela Moore (Johnny) of Luverne, Alabama; Jerome Phiffer (Tracie) of Phoenix City, Alabama; Harvey Phiffer (Brenda) of Fort Deposit, Alabama; Dewight Phiffer (Mary) of Luverne, Alabama; Robert Phiffer (Delores) of Luverne, Alabama; and James Earl Ray of Dayton, Ohio. Mac was a proud uncle to Marsha Polk (Marty), Kim Pritchett, James Pritchett (Cindy), Valerie Henderson (David), Thomas Loveless (Andrea), Ray Charles Loveless (deceased), Nisey Hearn (Kelvin), Valerie Gordon, Donald Gordon (Yolanda), Iris Hill (Alfred), Marsha McDonald-Wheeler (Michael), Juanita Brundidge, Tony Jackson, Patricia McDonald, Ernest Jackson (Peggy) and Roderick Jackson.
He was Pops to Brian Brown, Darryl Williams, Leroy Williams and Quincy Pickett
So many special friends from GM, customers from Executive Car and those who's paths he crossed along the way including lifelong friend from Alabama, Willie Harris.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, April 27, 2020, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Darrell Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
