Woodrow Bailey, age 95, entered eternal rest July 22, 2013. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 29 at Walker Funeral Home - Walnut HIlls Chapel, 1025 E. Woodrow Bailey was born in Reevesville, SC on May 14, 1918. Woodrow was one of six children born to the union of the late William and Octavia Bailey. At an early age, the family moved to Cincinnati, OH. During that time Woodrow was baptized into Christianity. He attended Harriet Beecher Stowe School and Old Woodrow High School. Woodrow was united in matrimony to Willa Moore and this union was blessed with a son, Ronald Bailey. Woodrow then remarried Verna Baker and this union lasted over 60 years. Woodrow went on to glory on July 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Woodrow was preceded in death by his wife Verna Bailey, brothers, Willie "C" Columbus Bailey, Eugene Bailey and Rudolph Bailey and sister Emma Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Ronald Bailey (Betty); brother, John Bailey; grandchildren, Ernest Reed (Cynthia), Adam T. Reed (Latisha), Tracy Reed, Sebastian Bailey , Lisa Bailey and Yolanda Reed, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, two great-great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives including Janell McCoy and her sons and daughters and family and friends.
