Obituary

Wilma Lattimore, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully entered eternal rest on April 11, 2025, just shy of her 85th birthday. Born on April 17, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late Grover Browner and Alberta Hunter.

A proud graduate of Robert A. Taft High School, Class of 1958, Wilma pursued higher education at the University of Cincinnati, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Service—laying the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to helping others.

Wilma built a successful career as a real estate agent and tax preparer, known not only for her professionalism but also for her honesty, kindness, and tireless work ethic. She touched many lives with her warmth and her unwavering commitment to service.

In 1962, Wilma married the love of her life, Kenwood Lattimore I, From their beautiful union came five children: Kenwood (Yvette) Lattimore II, Rodrick Lattimore I, Sheilah (Gary) Wright of Dayton, Ohio, Lamonte (Heather) Lattimore I, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Krystal (Herman Jordan) Smith. Wilma's greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children and later cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory three siblings, Mark Hunter, Marlon Hunter, and Nicole Hunter.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her fifteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, totaling fifty-seven descendants who carry her strength, compassion, and joy forward into the world. She also had a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved immensely, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Wilma will be remembered for her generous spirit, loving heart, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. She had a passion for singing and found great joy in music. An active and spirited woman, she loved playing tennis and treasured the laughter and fun shared over card games and occasional trips to the casino with her friends. Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, Wilma had a great sense of humor—never missing a chance to tell a joke or deliver the perfect punchline. She brought joy and light-heartedness to every room she entered.

Wilma also shared a very special bond with Veronica Williams, whom she lovingly regarded as a third daughter. Their relationship was filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished moments, and Veronica held a meaningful and enduring place in Wilma's heart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Grover Browner and Alberta Hunter; her cherished granddaughter, Nyteisha Lattimore; her precious great-grandson, Nylo Lattimore; and her dear daughters-in-law, Betty Lattimore and Jacqueline Lattimore.

Wilma's life was also enriched by her treasured lifelong sisterhood with her dear friends Geraldine Harris and Earlene Hill. Their bond, formed in youth and nurtured over decades, was one of unwavering love, trust, laughter, and loyalty. Together, they shared life's ups and downs, celebrated milestones, and offered one another unshakeable support—a true example of enduring friendship.
