IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie
Johnson
February 11, 1958 – February 15, 2024
Willie Johnson, a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and cherished member of the community, peacefully departed this life on February 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 11, 1958, to Jessie Mae Wallace and Joe Brown, Willie's journey was marked by resilience and unwavering love.
Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, Willie attended Cincinnati public schools, where he encountered and conquered numerous challenges and despite the obstacles he faced, his spirit propelled him forward, leading him to pursue higher education. He proudly earned his associate degree in social science and social arts from Shawnee State University, a testament to his dedication to personal growth and learning.
Cooking was more than just a profession for Willie; it was his calling and his joy. He honed his culinary skills over the years, holding various positions as a cook throughout the area.
In his leisure time, Willie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved nothing more than listening to music, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and spending quality time with his beloved family and his cherished baby, "Decora." His presence brought laughter to every gathering, and his love knew no bounds.
Willie is reunited in eternal peace with his father, Joe, and his brothers, Bobby, Richard, and Jeff, as well as his niece, Taneca Johnson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to be forever held close by his mother, Jessie, his sister Angela (William) Scott, and his brothers Gregory (Penny), Christopher (Christina), and James Johnson. Willie will also be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends, including his special friend, Charles "Chuck" Howard, and Decora Caston.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Joseph Butts, the Good Samaritan, for his kindness and support during Willie's journey.
Though Willie may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
Rest in peace, dear Willie. You will be forever cherished and deeply missed.
