IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie B.
Cummings
June 30, 1930 – July 7, 2016
A Celebration Of Life For Ms. Willie B. Cummings JUNE 30, 1930—JULY 7, 2016 Obituary Willie B. Cummings was born June 30, 1930 to the late James and Jetaner Lee in Tutwiler, Mississippi. Willie and her twin brother, the late M. C. Lee, were the 8th and 9th born of 11 children. The family moved to Blytheville, Arkansas while Willie was a young child. It was then when Willie joined Nehemiah Temple C.O.G.I.C., under the leadership of Bishop Minor Jones, where she first received the Holy Ghost and was baptized. Later, as a young woman, Willie met and married Mr. Joe E. Cummings. The couple left Arkansas, lived in California and finally settled in Cincinnati in 1962. It was at this time she began attending Rescue Temple C.O.G.I.C.. Willie worked for several years at Jewish Hospital where she later retired. Since retiring, she focused on taking care of her large extended family. Willie loved to cook. Her family especially enjoyed her pound cakes, peach cobbler and butter roll. Willie had a generous heart and rarely said, "no", to anyone in need. Willie became a member of True Holiness COPA of Silverton in 2007 and a member of the Mother's Board in 2012. Willie spoke very highly of the care and support she received from her church family. Willie was loved, admired and well respected by all who came in contact with her. Her colorful stories about events from her past would have you laughing for hours. Even late in life, after facing many health challenges, she never stopped making people laugh. Willie made her transition from this life on Thursday, July 7th, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Jetaner Lee and seven siblings: R. D. Dotson, Lucinda Robinson, James Lee Jr. Margaret Strawther, Rosie Lee Jones, Samella Carter and M. C. Lee. And, she leaves behind to cherish in her memory: a daughter, Mary (LeRoy) Goodwin, and Mary's sister Lora Johnson; two sisters Nancy McDowell and Jenny M. Hunter; one brother J. W. Lee; one sister-in-law Narcissus Dotson; four grandchildren, Tara Snellings, Tia (Paul) Kulhman, Calvin R.
