Willie Cody ( Muscle) was born on October 4, 1932 in Crawfordville, Georgia in  Taliaferro county to Roosevelt and Martha Mae Cody. Willie is the eldest of 4 children born to the union.

He came to Cincinnati Ohio in 1947. Willie is a product of the Old Stowe School. he worked as a stone mason and brick layer for many years. He retired from Whitton Container Service in 2011.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Martha Mae Cody, one brother Louise Cody Sr., one grandson Christopher Cody and one sister in law Lucille Cody.

Willie leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Vergie  Bracey, three granddaughter, Angela Cody, Denice Willis, Loris Bracey; six grandchildren, two sisters; Mary Ward-Thomas, Doretha Thurman (Eddie), his Church family Truth Temple House of Meditation under Pastor Steve Jasper  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2020  at the Faith Temple Church of God, 825 Rockdale Avenue, Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
