William Clifford Taylor, Born April 30, 1937. Loving son of Candice Preston and Darnell Taylor in Opelika Alabama. William was baptized at Thompson Chapel AME Zion church as a youth. When his parents divorced in 1948, he chose to remain in Alabama with his father. His mother and sisters moved to Cincinnati. A longing for his mother and sisters, compelled him to join them in Cincinnati. William attended Woodward High School and graduated from Taft High School in 1955. Once graduated, he joined the United States Army. Upon completion of service, he was honorably discharged and returned to Cincinnati to fulfill his passion as an artist. After working for Browning Art Gallery for several years, he established the Bill Taylor Studio in 1970. Bill was self-taught and was experimental in developing his technique in restoration of fine art. In 1959, Bill met and married Delores Smith. They were married for 30 years. From this union, Thealonious and Latif Taylor were born. He joined Zion Temple First Pentecostal Church and eventually became a Deacon. In 1989, Bill and Delores chose separate paths and he then married Sandra Soweto in 1992. Over the years, Bill has established a high end affiliation with art galleries, clients and art enthusiasts. He was also a collector of fine arts and licensed Art Appraiser. He leaves his children; Thealonious and Latif Taylor. Sisters; Margaret Taylor Harris, Carrie Jean Taylor and Shelby Taylor. Brothers; Eddie L. Mallory, Al Taylor and Skipper Taylor. Grandchildren; Regina & Terral. Great Grandchildren; Karli, Joseph, Cingi, Gique, Cueci, Gogii and other family & friends. Visitation is from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the St. Mark AME Zion Church, 9208 Daly Road, Cincinnati, Ohio (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
