William Frank Stringer, everyone knew him as Pete was born on May 6, 1948. He was educated in the Hamilton City School district graduating from Garfield High School in 1967.  Pete went on to further his education at Central State University going on to obtaining his barber license. Pete was also employed by the City of Hamilton and Pease for many years. He met the love of his life in 1976. On February 22, 1992 they were united in marriage and were blessed with more than forty-three years together, raising five beautiful children. Pete was known to wear many 'Hats' in his life. He was an exceptional husband, a wonderful son, an outstanding father, a loyal, dependable and dedicated grandfather and a gracious brother. Pete was well known and loved by many. He was known for his fashion and love for cars. Pete accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior early in life. On January 5, 2020 William Pete Stringer went on to be with the Lord, preceded in death by his father Murphy Stringer.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife-Helen R. Stringer, mother-Helen Stringer, two sisters: Dorothy Moore and Geraldine (Daniel) Johnson of Georgia , three sons: Lanny (Kenya) Ash, Mario Ash, Brian Ash. two daughters: Sharonna (Brandon) Jarrett and Destinee (Derrick) Singletary. 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10:30 am until noon, on Monday, January 13, 2020, at the New Hope Baptist Church, 532 High Street, Hamilton (45011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Greenwood, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
