WILLIAM ARTHUR STEWART SR (BUCK) William was born April 25, 1932, one of three children to bless the union of Robert Stewart and Ethel Garrett Stewart in Winchester Kentucky. His parents and two brothers, Gene Stewart and Kenneth Stewart preceded him in death. His early and teenage years were spent helping on the family farm. Throughout Winchester Kentucky, William as affectionately known as "Buck"; a nickname he carried for his lifetime. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served during the Korean conflict. Upon moving to Cincinnati Ohio, he met and married the love of his life Roberta Jenkins. A son, William Jr. was born to this union. William and Roberta celebrated 51 years of marriage in February of 2018, remaining devoted until his passing. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who took great pride in his family and friends. Williams' hobbies included fishing, cooking, and entertaining. He was well traveled and was known to throw the best parties and have the best music. His personal favorite was down home blues. William was known to have a heart of gold, always willing to help anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds. If anyone needed his help, he would gladly give the shirt off his back if needed. He was also a man who did not mince his words. He had no problem letting people know what was on his mind. William was a fighter until the end. However, he shared with his granddaughter that if he did not recover his health he had had a good life and he had a lot of fun. He had no regrets. He was a true soldier until the end. William was employed as a truck driver and construction worker until retirement, and a member of Labor Union 265 for 41 consecutive years. He leaves to cherish his memories, his partner in life and love Roberta; sons William Jr (Sherry), and Sean Harris (Tish). He also leaves Granddaughters Navada Morgan (Brandon), Tamara Brookins, and Kayla Stewart, and grandson Andre Brookins; great grandchildren Amari Morgan, Amy Morgan, Ava Morgan, Aidan Morgan, Amir Morgan, Andre Brookins Jr, Drelon Sharp Brookins, and Ace Lofton Brookins; Brother in law Bollin Jenkins, Sister in law Lucille McConncico, special friend Evelyn Coleman, along with a host of family and friends who were dear to his heart. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Christ Memorial Baptist Church, 1721 Dale Road, Cincinnati (45237). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246.
