William Lee McCalley was born June 4,1980 in Cincinnati Ohio to Felicia Maria Johnson (who preceded him in death March 17, 2010), and Danny McCalley. He attended both Withrow and Aiken High Schools.  William was very humble and reserved with a deep love for his family and especially his children with whom he often talked about and loved very much.  William loved and had faith in God. He loved music, rapping, sports, and art.  His favorite color was red. He dabbled in the art of tattooing as well.

These things would often bring him out of his reserved demeanor because of his love for them. William worked very hard and was extremely skilled in masonry, and carpentry work which was his career of choice. He was very proud of his work projects and would often show live videos of the work he was doing or the finished product. William often did sideline work with his big brother Danny who he adored and looked up to all the time. William had a very warm and kind heart and would help you in any way if he was able to do so.

Many years ago, William left Cincinnati to work in Tennessee. He also did some work in the Virgin Islands. Unfortunately leaving Cincinnati put distance between him and his children which bothered him and them equally. He talked about his children all the time and loved them very much. While in Tennessee William met Crystal Burkhart and the two later married.  Crystal previously had 2 children who he grew to love. They love him as well. William moved back home to Cincinnati not too long before his untimely death. He reconnected with his children and other family members.  Unfortunately, he passed away before his first granddaughter, Halo could be born.

William leaves to cherish his children Krishyra K. McCalley, Aliya J. McCalley, Devon Tarter, His wife Crystal Burkhart, and stepchildren Antonio D. Muse, and Kalea M. Muse. His siblings, Danny L. Johnson (Amy T. Johnson), Sherhonda R. Lewis, Jermaine L. Lewis, Brandon L. Ellis, Shannon D. Ellis, Dante M. McCalley, D'on I. McCalley, and a whole host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm, on  Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The memorial service will immediately follow the gathering of family and friends and will begin at  2:30 pm.
