William Va "Billy" Harmon II, 62, of Belfry, passed away at Tug Valley Appalachian Regional Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023.
He was the son of the late William Va Harmon I and Patricia Goff Williams of Mocksville, N.C.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Fred) Coleman, of Huddy and two sons, Brian Matthew (Stephanie) Harmon of Kingsport, Tenn.; and William Bennett Harmon and his companion Brytni of Abington, Va. Billy also had four grandchildren, William Glenn Coleman of Huddy; Phoebe Harmon of Abington; Ryland Harmon of Kingsport and Myla Bly Miller of Glenville, W.Va. He is also survived by his wife, Myra Miller of Glenville and Belfry.
Billy was employed by the Mingo County Commission. He was also well known around town as the only man who could fix a rubber roof. Billy could fix anything and mastered all trades. His quick wit and huge smile had everyone laughing around him. His creativity never ended and neither did the jokes.
Billy was an animal lover. He will be missed by his four cats, Sissy, Sammy Jo, Skinny and Susie-Steve. During his lifetime, he tried to house train a goat and a pig. Recently, he had been wanting to house train a miniature donkey.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 32 years, Karen Sue Harmon and his sister, Kimberly Va Carico.
