He was the youngest of seven children. Two brothers preceded in death David Hardy and Leroy Cousins. He departed this life early Thursday morning, January 10, 2014. Moe was kindhearted with a lot of street game in him. He was a well dressed fellow, always stood out from the crowd. He loved his family with no limits. He had favorites in his life, his niece Dawn and others. Special love for his mom Barbara Hardy, and his longtime companion, Debbie Lewis. Even though he only went to the 10th grade at Hughes High School, Moe was very smart. Respected by his peers and loved by many. He received Christ at Bishop Simmons' church. Moe leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Barbara Hardy and William Smith; aunts, Dorothy Devine, Mary Cousins, Estella Phiffer; uncles, Arnold Cousins, Raymond Cousins; brother, Clarence Glenn (Audrey); sister, Marylyn Harris (Tyrone), Debbie Hamilton, Carolyn Hardy; brother-in-law, Louis Kiner. His companion Debbie Lewis; his children, William Powell Jr., Darla Powell, Janesa Cottingham, Demeka & Justin Winfree, Dre & Low Lewis. A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends; special friends, Gary Stallworth and Donald Shoad; special aunt Glenda Cousins and Marie Cousins.
