Brother William Barksdale, Sr., was born September 10, 1916. He was the second of six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Barksdale (Lydia) of Barksdale, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son, James Barksdale. William and his family relocated to Cincinnati in the 1970's. He united with the Second Trinity Baptist Church in 1976 under the leadership of Rev. Nathaniel Reed. Broother Barksdale was a faithful member of Second Trinity. He was a devoted member of the Senior Ushers Ministry and could always be counted upon at hi assigned post. Even in his failing health Brother Barksdale continued diligently about his duties. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted companion, Mary Helen Barksdale; son, William Barksdale Jr., brother, Paul Barksdale; step-daughter, Jacquelyn Barksdale, four grandchildren; caregiver, Virginia Fowler.
