William A. Rineer May 2, 1922 - July 5, 2001 William A. Rineer, 79, of Rockville, died July 5 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Md. Born in Lancaster, Pa., he was a 1940 graduate of McCaskey High School in Lancaster. After serving in the armed forces during World War II, he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1949 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business from Pennsylvania State University. He taught business courses at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Wheaton High School in Montgomery County and Frederick Community College in Frederick. He also taught stenotype machine at American Business School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rineer played organ, handbells and piano at many churches in the Rockville area and sang in various choral groups. He also enjoyed tap dancing, taking lessons until age 79. He is survived by his twin brother, Robert D. Rineer of Lancaster; two sisters, Mildred and husband Harold Bechtold of Lititz, and Martha and husband T. William Waldrop of New Holland, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. July 20 at Crusader Lutheran Church, 1605 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland.
