Will Tucker was an exceptional, lovable, and outspoken soul who graced the world and passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born on August 30, 1952 in Sunflower Mississippi, to the late Sampson Essex Sr. and Beatrice Roscoe. He was the first born son of twelve children.
Will attended Gentry High School for three years and finished his senior year at Ruleville Central High School in 1971. Will later enlisted in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
Will was married to Gwendolyn Tucker. Will, affectionately known as "CannonBall," was baptized and attended Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Sunflower, Mississippi.
Will was loved by his family and friends, he was very sociable and outgoing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved drawing, he was a great handy man and not afraid of hard work. He also enjoyed watching sports, Western movies, and Traveling.
Will was preceded in death by both parents, Sampson Essex Sr. and Beatrice Roscoe, and siblings: Albert "Larry" Roscoe, Roosevelt Roscoe, Dorothy Williams, Amy "Helen" Jones, Rosie Roscoe, George Ann Jones, Otha J. Essex, Lavonne Essex, Frank L. Essex, Jimmy L. Essex.
Will leaves to cherish his memories: his only loving son, Little Will Tucker; thirteen siblings: Robert Roscoe, Turner Roscoe, Tommy Roscoe, Timothy Roscoe, Diane Minton, Helen Bell, Robert Grant, April Roscoe, Henry B. Essex, L. B. Essex, John W. Essex, Maxine Essex, Leeora Essex-Woolley; one grandchild Kamauri : an aunt, Annie Mae Johnson (Author) ; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
