IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wanda Lee
Minor
March 6, 1951 – April 15, 2013
Wanda Lee Minor, age 62, passed away April 15, 2013. Wanda Lee Minor was called home by the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Garden Parks Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Wanda was the daughter of Delorse Mixon-Weaver and Lawrence Mixon. she was born on March 6, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the oldest of three siblings. She loved to cook, barbeque, and eat good food. Fish was her favorite. Wanda had a contagious smile that affected everyone she knew. she was a friend to everyone she met. She was well known in her community, work place, and especially at Findlay Street Market. Wanda loved to travel to new and exciting places, never a stranger to anyone. She was loved by all and she loved her family, friends, community, and most of all Jesus Christ! Wanda was employed at University Hospital Record Library for 14 years. She then went on to work for Union Central Insurance Company for the next 11 years until her health no longer allowed her to work. Wanda was a hard worker and was dedicated to her job at Union Central Insurance Company. God saw Wanda getting tired; a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered 'Come with Me'. She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. she faced her pain with curage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain. God took Wanda to his loving home and freed her from the pain. She was preceded in death by mother, Delorse Mixon-Weaver; father, Lawrence Mixon; grandmothers, Mary Mixon and Osamae Parrish. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her son, Charles Britten (April); brothers, Michael Mixon and James Mixon; grandchildren, Corodell (Ryahn) Britten, Jalen Martin, and Justyce Martin; uncle, Clarence Mixon and a host of relatives and friends.
