Virginia, born on August 12, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Julia Mae and Clarence Johnson, was a proud graduate of Robert A. Taft High School. She departed this life on April 26, 2026, in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Virginia, also known as “Gin,” devoted her life to her husband of 47 years and to their eight children. Known as “Mom” and “Grandma-Mother” to many in the community, she exuded compassion, kindness, and a genuine love for life. She was most proud of her children, grandchildren, and their accomplishments. Anyone blessed to spend time with her knew how much she loved to dance and how her joyful spirit could brighten any room.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Mae and Clarence Johnson; her oldest son, Antonio Williams; her youngest daughter, Asia Cline; her granddaughter, Jayla Johnson; her sisters, Bernice McCoy and Ruby Johnson; her brother, Sylvester Johnson; and her nephews, Virgil and Mitchell.

Virginia leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished forever. She is survived by her loving husband, Andy; her children: Leander Sr. of Augusta, Georgia; Ebony (Jeremiah) of Copperas Cove, Texas; Valencia (Lamar) of Wilmington, North Carolina; and Leandreia, Daishea, and Takelia, all of Cincinnati; her grandchildren: N’Dreia, Larry Jr., Aniyah, Indiyah, Evan Jr., Kenyah, Daymion, Heaven, Iyonna, Bri’Onna, Leander Jr., Ni’Keiyah, Christopher, Matthew, Jeremiah, Aiden, Sophia, and Janae; and her great-grandchildren: Chance, Iris, and Artist.

She is also survived by her mother-in-love, Mary Payne; her grandmother-in-love, Mary Sims; her siblings: Harold, Lucy, Gloria, Samuel, Clyde, April, Jodeci, Leslie, and Chauncey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
