Viola Diamond Scurry was born to Sunnie Mae and William Scurry in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 19, 1959.
Viola Attended Cincinnati Public Schools and after graduating she attended the University of Cincinnati. Viola was trained in the hospitality /travel industry. She held a secretarial position at the University of Cincinnati.
Viola loved people, never meeting a stranger and was always willing to help. Her laughter was contagious. Viola was very special to her family, friends, and church family.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers. She was the youngest of 17 children.
She departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2019 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Kenneth McGivens, Michael and Jerry; brothers, Wilbur Lee Scurry and David S.C. Scurry; sisters, Beatrice Zanders Scurry, Selica Barron, Nancy Scurry, Anita Holt-Walker and Barbara Holt-Douglas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will dearly be missed.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Korean Madisonville Methodist Church, 6130 Madison Road, Cincinnati, 45227.
