"WHEN I WAS CHILD"….1 CORINTHIANS 13:11 Vincent was the second child born to this union. He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where he received his formal education in the Cincinnati Public School system. He graduated from Hughes High School and continued his education by attending DeVry University in Columbus, Ohio and Antonelli College in Cincinnati, Ohio where he made the Dean's List. "PRESENT YOUR BODY AS A LIVING SACRIFICE"....ROMANS 12:1 Vincent accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the early age of 8 while attending Tryed Stone Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor Anderson Culbreath. In May, 2005, Vincent united with Victory Gospel Temple under the leadership of his uncle, Pastor Derrick J. Williams. January 15, 2017 he united with New Prospect Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Damon Lynch. "I MUST WORK THE WORKS OF HIM THAT SENT ME"….JOHN 9:4 He was employed by Diversey Chemicals as a chemical mixer. He then was employed by Proctor and Gamble until his health began to fail him. Vincent was committed to serving the Lord. He served as a member of the Junior Usher Board, the Junior Deacons, and participated in youth activities while attending Tryed Stone Missionary Baptist Church. He participated in Helps Ministries while attending Victory Gospel Temple. At New Prospect he was an active member of the Male Chorus. "YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL." Psalm 23:4 Vincent, known by Big V and Vince, completed his journey to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 9:00 am. He was greeted by his loving father, Ralph Rhodes Appleby, his grandparents, Deacon Edward and Sister Leeada Williams, and his grandfathers, Howard Frazier and Fred Benton. "BLESSED ARE THEY THAT MOURN FOR THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED"….MATTHEW 5:4 Vincent leaves to cherish his strong personality, amazing smile, gentle touch, and so many fond memories, his mother Mrs. LaVerne D. Appleby, his brother Vernon C. Appleby, his grandmother Mrs. Ruby Benton, and his nephews Caleb and Braylon. Also to cherish fond memories will be, his great-aunt, Mrs. Rose Rhodes and aunt, Mrs. Anita Frazier (Claude). His uncles; Robert Ingguls, Edward Williams, Gregory Williams (Donna), Mark Williams, Derrick Williams (Alice), and Alvin Williams. His very close cousins he loved as brothers Brandon Rudd, Marcus Williams, and Micah Gamble and cousins he loved as sisters Porsha Frazier, Alycia Lumpkins (Donald), Donica Williams, and Dominique Williams. His cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, special friends Akmal Dixon, Anwar Dixon, Calvin Ruffin, William Byes, Kenneth Jerdo, Anthony Frazier, and Talie Bell. Visitation is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Faith Temple Church of God, 825 Rockdale Avenue, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Rd., Cincinnati, 45215.
