Verita Mamie Robinson was born on April 24, 1961, in Cincinnati Ohio. She was the fifth born child of the late Theodore and Dorothy Frye. After 59 years of service to family and friends, she transitioned to be with the Lord on March 23, 2021, after battling with lung trauma for 11 years.

Verita attended Hughes High School and found a passion for art and dance. She competed with her childhood friends in the Merry-Go-Round" and for a short period marched with the infamous "Stridettes". Although she did not graduate with her classmates, she went on to complete her high school requirements and studied Business Finance at Cincinnati State where she was awarded an Associate's degree.

Verita's life was rooted in the church, and during her youth, she attended both Southern Baptist and later Rockdale Temple. She credits her many successes in Business, Family, and Life to her love of God.

Verita worked at Procter and Gamble for 31 years and found joy and friendships in the many positions held there. She was said to always find someone she could teach how to "Teeter around and be just as fine as you wanna be." as instilled in her by the woman who would introduce her as, "this is my daughter Rita". When people would ask how she came to be, she would say, "she is my son's wife."

Verita was immediately welcomed into the sisterhood of the Robinson family when she met, then married Eric. They enjoyed a life truly ordained by God as not only did they bond, but the families of Frye and Robinson bonded as well. Now after 39 years of marriage and blessings, our beloved has been called home.

Verita is survived by her loving husband, Eric, two sons, Damien Robinson, Dru (Desiree) Robinson; one stepdaughter, Courtney Smith; one granddaughter, Cherish-mee Robinson; one grandson, La Ta-veon Larkin; one brother, Howard T Frye; four sisters, Sandra (Charles) Frye-Lucas, Jamesetta (Tweety) Frye Kendrix, Anne Pearl Frye and Carla Hayes; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other in-laws, relatives, and friends.

The gathering is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, 45206.  The memorial service will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 3:00 pm. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
