Ms. Vera Williams, age 62, passed away at Christ Hospital on October 11, 2025. She was born on January 22, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up in Winton Terrence, where her friends referred to her as "V." She attended Western Hills High School, then later found her career in janitorial work. In her career, she was an exceptional boss and leader to every person she managed.

In her earlier years, she was a woman on the go. She loved to travel, go out, have a good time, and enjoy good music. She was a hardworking, strong woman and loved being surrounded by family and friends. She was the kind of person you could lean on and talk to about anything and everything. She never placed judgment and would always give you her honest, straightforward opinion.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Fostine and Jessie; stepmother, Susie; brother, Clark; sister, Christine; brothers, Darrell and nephews Donald, Little Donald, and Darnell; and granddaughter, Zhi'merah.

Her memories will be cherished by her partner, William; sister, Barbara; her children, Vonte (and his loving family) and Kendra (Marcell); her stepchildren, Chania, William Jr. (Amber), and Lawrence (Rauneisha); nieces and nephews, Jermaine (Rula), Crystal, Lavada, and Jeffery; her grandchildren, Kayson (Cell), Kaylani (Lani), Valeria (Lil V), Kamaryia (Mar), Kahmelah (Mel), Kasyi (Lil KJ), Chamia (Meme), Tymerah (Umpie), Reggie (Reg), Zhi'mia (Mia), Kayon, Kael (Baby), and Kyngston (Kyng Kyng); her great-nieces and nephews, Nikkia (Sam), Donald, Jarmaine, Mekel, Chrislyn (Chris), Kylah (Toot), Chi'lay (Lay Lay), Re'ana (Re), Peytience (Pey Pey), and Lucas (Boy); her dear cousin, Raffel; and a host of great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and more.

During Vera's lifetime, she got to travel with her friends, became a phenomenal manager in her workforce, owned a beautiful home for her children to grow up in, and cared for many children as if they were her own. Even after facing health issues, that didn't stop her. She remained a beautiful, strong woman through it all. She left a lasting impression on so many people; her presence will truly be missed.

Vera was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although Vera's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
