Obituary

Venitta Shereece Carpenter went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on November 15, 1975, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Venitta (Nita) was the first-born daughter of her devoted and loving mother, Deborah Suggs, who survives her. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Willie F. Hunter Jr., and survived by Julius Orso, Jr. (Daddy), her dedicated father who raised her as his own with unwavering love and care.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alice Suggs and John D. Suggs; paternal grandparents, Doshie Hunter and Willie Hunter, Sr.; and grandparents, Sarah Orso and Julius Orso, Sr.

Venitta leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Ryan P. Carpenter; her beloved daughter, Jayla Smith; stepchildren, Kamryn Wise, Cierra Carpenter, and Brett Johnson; her sister, Michelle Hunter; her niece, Rhyan Gordon; her nephew, Stephen Gordon, Jr.; her brother, Eric Taylor; her mother-in-law, Elaine Malone; her sister-in-law, Kandice Martin; her niece, Macyn Sweeney; her nephew, Kyser Jackson; her brother-in- law, Richard Carpenter, IV (Tramaine); her niece, Brittany Carpenter; her nephew, Malcolm Carpenter; her nephew, Richard Carpenter, V; her nephew, Leland Matthews; her niece, Layla Matthews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family, dear friends, and colleagues.

Venitta was a joyful, caring, and encouraging soul who uplifted everyone around her. She was an excellent mother, devoted wife, loving daughter, and proud big sister, always present for her family and friends without hesitation. Known for her beauty, kindness, and humility, her radiant smile could light up any room, and she was truly a gift from God. Venitta loved to dance, never missing a chance to find the floor and create her own celebration. During her high school years at Withrow high School, she participated in modeling with the Withrow Illusion Models, served as captain of the Withrow Drill Team, and made multiple appearances dancing at school functions and talent shows. She was also deeply passionate about the medical field, advancing from a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to medical assistant, then licensed practical nurse, and ultimately becoming a registered nurse (RN). She received her Associate of Science in Nursing Degree as ATA College. As an RN with Group Health Associates under the TriHealth Network, she dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion, skill, and constant kindness.

She was a devoted single mother who poured her heart into raising her only daughter, Jayla, providing love, guidance, and constant support through every stage of life. With strength and determination, she balanced life’s responsibilities while always making her daughter feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. Later in life, she found love and marriage with Ryan, whom she shared 13 years of marriage, warmly embracing her role in a blended family as she welcomed stepchildren and in-laws into her life with open arms. Her kindness, resilience, and ability to bring people together created a lasting bond that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Though Venitta’s journey on earth ended, suddenly, at the age of 50, her life was a testament to faith, love, and purpose. She walked with grace, trusting in God’s plan even through life’s trials, and touching countless lives along the way. While her passing leaves a deep void, we find comfort in knowing her spirit rests in eternal peace, embraced by God’s love. Her light continues to shine through the memories she created and the lives she uplifted, reminding us that her presence is never truly gone—it lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
