Vena Bealer was born to the late James Walter Hill and the late Pearl Walker on October 4, 1941 in Hazard, Kentucky.  After living a long, full life, Vena departed this life on October 25, 2019.

After moving to Cincinnati, Vena proceeded to work for companies such as Kroger, Pierre Foods and Patheon Pharmaceutical.

In her leisure time, Vena enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.  She also had a gift for fashion and interior design.

Vena was cherished as a kind, loving mother, a constant nurturer and provider.  She was a loyal and generous friend to many.  She had an abundance of strength, wit and compassion.

While in Cincinnati, Vena met and married the late John Harvey Simpson Sr.  Two children were born from this union, the late John Harvey Simpson Jr. and the late Sherri Sims.  Later in life, she married the late Lee Andrew Bealer, to which one child was born, Celise Devon Bealer.

Passing before her are, brothers Edward C. Hill and Curtis Walker and niece Delores L. Walker.

Vena leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Celise Devon Bealer; grandchild Michael John Sims; great grandchild Andre Michael James Sims; sisters Janet Hand and Cheryl A Hill-Dozier; brothers Terry Walker, George Walker and Jackie Walker; nephews John Hand IV., Quincy Sweeten, Jay Young, Dennis Walker,  Eric Dozier, Damon Dozier and Elliot Dozier; nieces Peggy Woodson, TaRita Johnson, Lindsey Sweeten, Debra Dennis and Jessica Hill and a host of other relatives and friends.

As Vena is receiving eternal love in God's care, she will be truly cherished and missed.  She is one of a kind.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
