We are here May 16, 2025 to show our love and deepest respect for a dear mother, sister and friend, Vanita Johnson. Vanita was a loving, kind and giving person who despite her health problems and other challenges, persevered and finished the tasks she set out to accomplish.  She was also known for her comedic timing that lifted so many with joy and laughter when they needed it most.  On the other hand, she talked about her God Jehovah with all seriousness and conviction.

Vanita was preceded in death by her son, Danny Johnson, and parents, Louise and Vance Keesee and brother, Vance.  She is survived by her daughter, Donita Johnson and son, Michael Johnson along with her loving grandchildren.  Also in mourning are her sister, Shirley Miles and brother, Stevie Keesee who affectionately called their beloved sibling "Nemo", a name given her by their late father.  We must mention the host of nieces, nephews, and friends who are among the mourners.

She dedicated herself to Jehovah and was baptized  for many years. She was an outstanding example and inspired many.

She will be truly missed.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
