Valerie Lynn Douglas was born December 6, 1962, to Johnny Blan and Cleola Baldwin. Valerie transitioned to the arms of the Lord on May 20, 2026, at the age of 63.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Blan Baldwin, brother Matthew Baldwin and grandparents.
Valerie loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age; she loved participating in weekly bible studies on conference call. She also was a member of the prison ministry at Holt Church for two years under the leadership of Pastor Knight and sang in the unlimited choir at The Stone Church in Aliquippa, PA.
Valerie known as "Val" graduated from Rochester Area Jr./Sr. High School in Rochester, Pennsylvania, where she played on the varsity basketball and track team. She was a passionate avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, commonly seen wearing black and yellow to cheer on her home team.
Valerie was a Social Worker for the City of Hamilton County with over 30 years of service working in various capacities; she also was employed by Children's and University Hospital call center. Val and her husband worked together at SRS Extreme Tailgate, traveling over the country rendering professional tailgate parties at NFL, College Football Games, professional boxing events in Las Vegas, The Masters and Nascar for 2 1/2 years.
Valerie enjoyed entertaining family and friends, she was an excellent host and loved to cook. She was the greatest wife a man could have.

Valerie "Val" leaves to cherish her precious memories, loving husband, Terry Douglas, Sr.; mother, Cleola B. Thomas; son, Charles Williams Lee; stepson, Terry Douglas, Jr.; stepdaughter, Chanette Douglas; sisters, Marcia Agee, Regina Marshall (Stephen), Shena Benskin; brother, Dr. Stephen Thomas (Mangi); seven grandchildren, Bobby, K'Marion, Deorie, Onyx, Peyton, Railey and Chayone; brothers-in-law, Mikinley Douglas, Jr., Albert Douglas; sisters-in-law, Gwen Coats (William), Anzola Douglas, Valerie Douglas, Christine Douglas and Yolanda Dean Douglas; special friend, Yvette Cynthia Newsome and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extend family from Aliquippa, PA and Cincinnati, OH that will cherish her memory.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Walker Walnut Hills, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45206. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
