Tyrone Samuel McIntosh, Sr. was born on January 31, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Mary McIntosh. Tyrone attended A.O. Sexton Grade School. He went on to graduate from Simeon Vocational High School, where he was voted most athletic and obtained a football and basketball scholarship to Livingstone College in North Carolina in 1973.

Tyrone was baptized at Omega Baptist Church. He also taught GED classes at Southshore High School. Tyrone received an Associate's degree in Business Administration at Kennedy King College. He loved sports and spending time with family and friends. Most would call him the life of the party. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary McIntosh; grandparents, Robert Dent, Beulah McIntosh, and Samella Staples; brothers, Nathaniel and Greg McIntosh; sister, Loretta McIntosh; son, Xavier McIntosh; niece, Latoya; nephews, Robert and Terrance; and grandson, Jeremiah Campbell.

He leaves to cherish his memories sons, Tyrone McIntosh Jr., (Tamara), Boris Johnson; daughters, Theresa McIntosh, Latorise Johnson, Markisha Johnson (Daunza); sister, Vanessa Johnson (Ivory); brothers, Stephen McIntosh (Marcella), Chris McIntosh (Jamila); uncle, Jack McIntosh; a special friend, Theresa Glover;17 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
