Obituary

Tyrone Broadus was born on September 07, 1956 to Theotis Kindell and Gladys Broadus. Tyrone was the second oldest of Gladys' eight children. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Nadine Dickerson, David Kindell, Barbara Jones, Kenneth Kindell, Robina Brooks and one grandchild.

In 1981, Tyrone met Sherrie and ten years later they were married. He was loving, attentive and devoted provider.

For twenty-eight years, he worked as a maintenance technician for CMHA and retired in November of 2014.

Tyrone took pride in his work and anything that he did. The phrase" You Betta Call Tyrone" was made for him. He would be there for you. He was a very giving person. He might not give you money or material things, but he would give of himself and his time. If he wasn't helping a family member or a friend, he could be found working on various home projects or working in the yard.

In his free time, Tyrone enjoyed bowling, tending to his fish aquariums, and playing chess. He loved watching action packed movies or an old western flick. He liked making people laugh and enjoyed a good joke. Sometimes, he wouldn't laugh at your joke, but he could be found re-telling your joke to someone else for a good laugh. His smile was contagious, to know him was to love him.  Affectionately, known to many as Tye and Granddaddy. He will be truly missed.

Tyrone leaves to cherish: His wife, Sherrie Broadus, Uncle, Robert Broadus (Karen).  Seven siblings, Glenn Kindell (Valerie), Sandy Moss (Ron), Margo Brown (Michael), Teddy Kindell (Doris), Kat Garrett (Robert), Dawn Woolfork, and Ricky Kindell. His children Alonzo Wright, Maurice Valentine (Marisol) and Christina Valentine. And for the past forty years, he helped raise and provide for Julie Ann Murphy and Carla Horne. Fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
