On April 24,1970 Pamela Long and James Long were blessed with their first child Troy Long Sr. He was born in Cincinnati Ohio where he attended Cincinnati Public Schools. He grew up in Avondale , his most loved community. He was known as T-Bone, T-Roy and Bone Crusher to Family and Friends.

Troy attended Woodward High School. He graduated June, 1988. Troy played basketball for the Bulldogs. The positions he played were point guard and shooting guard. He was a talented basketball player whose skill, determination and love for the game inspired everyone who watched him. He was more than just a good basketball player, he was a true basketball competitor who left a lasting legacy on and off the court. He proudly wore his jersey 35 for the Bulldogs. His presence on the court left a lasting impression, and his legacy will always be remembered.

Troy loved to Dance, play Baseball, Basketball and Skate. His love for sports and movement stayed with him throughout his life. He was known for his loving and joyful spirit. Troy was a great listener, if you needed a shoulder to lean on or a good listening ear, he was always there. He showed up for people without hesitation and made others feel heard and supported. Troy had love for the ladies, his charm and personality made him well-known and well-liked wherever he went.

Troy was preceded in death by his Grandmother Helen Grace & Catherine Long, his Brother, James Arthur Long III, Nephew , Ja’Marion Washington, Cousins, Curtis James Boston Jr, Curtis James Long. Troy is survived by his Mother Pamela Long his Father James Long, his Son Troy Long Jr. his Sisters Joy Long, Vickie, Jameelah and Breauna. 6 Grandchildren, 19 Nieces, 12 Nephews, 6 Aunts, 3 Uncles, Cousins & Friends.

The family of Troy Long sincerely thank everyone for the love, prayers and support during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can express.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
