Troy Lamont Evans Sr. (55) was born on July 11, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was called to his heavenly home on May 7, 2026, due to complications from cardiac arrest.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Sandy Evans; his four children, Tristan Brakvill, Cassidy McAninch, Troy Evans Jr., and Tremont (Raina) Evans; and 12 grandchildren: TaNiya, Kingston, Ariyah, KirVani, Ahlani, Elliana, Issabella, Tremont Jr., Giavanna, Troy III, Paisley, and Zander.

He is also survived by his parents, Deborah Evans and Randall (Patricia) Ralls; his three brothers, Randall Potts, D’Andre Ralls, and Joseph Ralls; his dear uncle, Brandel Evans; and his cousins, Brian (Zion) Evans and Branden Evans.

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Earl Evans.

He also leaves behind his chosen siblings: Michael Jones, Mykal (Christina) Hodge, Ricci Williams, Rick West, Anthony (Shannon) Waits, and Jarrod (Kadori) Marshall.

Troy loved music and was always up for a concert, music festival, comedy show, or cookout. He found joy in grilling, working in the yard, and spending time with his grandchildren, family, and close friends.

Troy became a Case Manager at NewPath and previously worked at St. Aloysius and Talbert House. His work was more than a profession—it was an extension of his calling to uplift and protect those in need. His famous stubborn streak was an inspiration to his students, as he refused to give up on them no matter the struggle, continuing those relationships far beyond the school year.

Our family was not expecting Troy’s life to be cut so short, so soon. Troy was prepared for the end of life. He was strong and faced every challenge with courage and strength. He was never afraid, even when uncertain; he remained calm. He knew he had to go on and endure, and he did so gracefully. We are all devastated by this tremendous loss, and he will be forever missed.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Vineyard Community Church, 11340 Century Circle E, Cincinnati (45246). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

He will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Colerain Township, Ohio 45231.
