Obituary

Tracy Levell Barnes, born on May 26, 1967, in Cincinnati, OH was sent to eternal home on December 23, 2025, in Cincinnati, OH.

Tracy was raised by her loving parents Sylvester Hill and Yuvonne Hill who preceded her in death.

Tracy was a loving soul whose warmth and joyful spirit filled every room she entered. Raised in the West End, she grew up surrounded by community, laughter, family, and lifelong friendships that meant the world to her. Tracy was raised in church and was baptized early in life at Willing Spirit Baptist church where her late father was a deacon. Being born in the West End on Dayton Street was not just where Tracy was raised, it was where she learned life values, created many memories, and showed up for the people she loved. She carried those lessons with her throughout her life, remaining deeply connected to friends old and new, many of whom became family.

Early on, Tracy found the love of her life and married her devoted husband, James Barnes, on August 5, 1995. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Their marriage of 30 years was a testament to dedication, resilience, and the deep bond they shared.

Tracy was a devoted wife, a wonderful and loving mother, and a proud grandmother who adored her family unconditionally. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved most. Whether it was family gatherings, shared laughter, or quiet moments together, Tracy treasured every second.

Known for her silly sense of humor and radiant smile, Tracy had a rare gift for making people feel comfortable and at home. She could light up a room with her laughter and had an effortless way of lifting spirits, even on the hardest days. Her kindness, generosity, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Tracy's passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer physically with us, her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on forever in the memories she created and the lives she touched.

Tracy is survived by her loving husband, James Barnes and their children: Christopher Barnes, Jeremy Barnes (Brooke), and Jasmine Barnes. Her grandchildren: Kiyah Barnes, Princeton Barnes and London Geddis. She also leaves behind her brothers: Michael Barnes (in-law), Kenneth Hill, Gregory Cooper-Spencer (Doug), Malik Spencer, and Alex Spencer and sisters:

Shannon McMillan (Thomas), Courtney Hill (Randell), Ruby Jean Crenshaw (Horace), Brenda Lee Mayungbe (Woody), Alia Spencer, and Lisa Spencer-Hamilton (Neal) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Her sister Fatima Spencer and brother David Spencer preceded her in death.
