Tonya Roberts was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 20, 1959 to the late Rosie and John Rosewood. She departed this life on  October 1, 2020. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in her early childhood, where she attended Withrow High School graduating in 1977.

Tonya moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989 where she worked as a nurse's aide at Corwood Preschool and Laura Ridge Elementary for many years until she retired. Tonya gave her life to Christ at a early age and was a member of the House of God for many years. Later she served as a member of Keys of the Kingdom  where she gave words of wisdom and many stories of her life as a walking testimony. As she reflected on her years of life with a smile she married Freddie Roberts in 1986 where they had three children, Tameria, Felicia  and Fredericka. They later divorced in 1993.

She leaves behind two sisters and one brother, Anna Kennedy, Linda Embry ( Cedrick Embry) and Stephen Allen; six grandchildren, Maurice, Malachi, Tracee Lynn Kayden, Noah, James and Rebecca. She was a beautiful Mother and Grandmother to others,3 God Children with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was a beautiful spirit who will be missed  but never forgotten. We love you dearly mother.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
