She is survived by her companion and soul mate of nearly 30 years, Tony A. Brady of Cincinnati. Her family was the center of her life. She enriched and nurtured her son Eric Jarman (Cincinnati) and grandchildren Marquis, Jaelynn, and Teah. Tonya was also loved by special adopted daughters Kicia Roseman (Cincinnati), Latisha Nickerson-Jarman (Cincinnati), and Kiisha Anderson (Cincinnati) and adopted grandchildren Liea, Stephen, Cedric, Don-yea, Donyeaz, Ke-Asha *** Kicia children who are not Eric's) . They all love their "Ya-Ya"! Tonya was the loving and beloved daughter of Minister Saul B. Henderson and Mother Beatrice Elizabeth Henderson, both of whom she now joins in their heavenly rest. Tonya was the youngest of seven children, four girls and three boys. One sister, Shirley Anne Burgess (Charles -deceased) and one brother, Leon Saul Henderson (Elaine), preceded her in her earthly departure. All of Tonya's surviving siblings reside in Cincinnati; Virginia Henderson Allen (Willie-deceased), Dr. Marcia Dean Garrison, Winston Irwin Henderson, and Dr. Clyde Edward Henderson (Janis), as well as her sister-in-law Elaine (Leon). There was a special place in Tonya's heart for her in-laws, especially Renee Ingersol (Cincinnati), and Janice Bintu (CA); as well as her husband's other brothers and sisters Sonya and Judy Brady, Elizabeth Wilzon, and Silvia Williams, all of Cincinnati; and Veronica Nesbitt (TX), and Tracy Brady of Atlanta. Sister Tonya was an active member at Zion Temple First Pentecostal Church. She served as Secretary of the Zion Temple Christian Academy sang in various choirs of the Church. She also participated in other church activities such as the Media and the Outreach ministries, and the Sunday School department. She also attended the Zion Temple Bible Institute. Tonya was educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools attending Hoffman Elementary, Sawyer Junior High, and Withrow High schools. She attended college at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati, receiving a degree in Science. She subsequently became a licensed real estate broker working with several major firms in Cincinnati. Her enthusiasm for helping people to buy houses was her first love. Those activities were one of many things that she considered "her reasonable service". She spent 10 years as a Queen City Metro as a passenger coach operator and trainer, as well as a dispatcher. In those positions, she showcased that brilliant smile that went along with helping people get where they needed to go. She leaves to cherish her memory one aunt, Willie Mae Best (Queens, NY) and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she helped to raise and with whom she was raised. Her infectious smile and brilliant wit will be sorely missed by all of her relatives, family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Zion Temple First Pentecostal Church, 3771 Reading Road, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
