A Time to Be Born : Thomas Lindsey Sewell V was born December 4th, 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas Lindsey Sewell IV and Ronita Tubbs-Moore.

A Time to Transition : Thomas affectionally known as "TJ" peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, February 26, 2021.

A Time for GOD: It was evident at an early age that TJ loved GOD and strived to live a life that was pleasing to him.  He was filled with the Holy Spirit at the 2000 P.A.W. Convention in Cincinnati, OH. As a child TJ joined and regularly attended Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church, Abundant Life Apostolic Church, and High Point Christian Tabernacle (Smyrna, Ga). As an adult before leaving Ohio, he attended Overflow Ministries. TJ would often return to Cincinnati just to visit his church family, and worship GOD with them. TJ would frequently call his grandmother "Elove" to have prayer, and touch to agree with him. The spiritual connection TJ had with GOD was one that everyone who loves GOD should strive for. TJ knew the importance of connecting with a loving GOD and through the GOD that resided in him, he was able to exemplify love to anyone who had the pleasure of encountering him.

A Time to Grow : Always a precocious child, TJ was just as intelligent as he was loving and earned numerous academic achievements throughout his primary education at Cincinnati Public Schools, and his secondary education at South Cobb High School, in Austell, Georgia where he graduated in 2009. TJ went on to continue his education at Kennesaw State University in Georgia and the University of Cincinnati, where he studied business.

Known for his gift to gab and foundation of hard work, TJ's talents were recognized in 2005 by Melissa Boston, at TD Jakes convention where he was a personal assistant. His infectious smile and award-winning personality made it impossible for Melissa to ignore the potential in Thomas. This chance encounter led to an unbreakable bond, that would last the rest of his life. Over the 15 years that TJ was under Melissa's wing, she shaped and molded his beautiful business mind, which led to him earning one of his crowning achievements as Senior Vice President of Wakanna for Life. (The largest and most reputable minority owned cannabis/CBD oil company that offers full and broad-spectrum of health and wellness products and employment opportunities.)

A Time to Serve: Due to his extreme work ethic over the years, he found additional employment opportunities that varied from restaurant serving, to working at Luxottica Retail North America Headquarters in which he loved and was loved by many there. TJ became a heavily involved board member for Cincinnati For Youth Ministries; he was an integral part in the success of the 2014 Light up the Night fashion show. TJ reaffirmed his calling for his mentorship of youth and community, which planted the seed for his newly established 501(C) foundation, Black Men Vote, founded in 2020.

A Time for Family : TJ valued and cherished his time with family. His personality was bigger than any room he inhabited, he was an absolute true reflection of God's love and pure heart.  TJ was always present and excited for everyone's "big moments". He was everyone's "hype man" and would show up with that vulturous laugh and strong embrace, that we all so looked forward to.  He would never miss attending a family gathering, reunion, or anything where he was able to spend quality time with his family and friends.

Thomas was also a great servant not only for the Lord, but he also served his family. TJ simultaneously took care of his Grandmother and Great Grandmother while they were ill and recovering from surgery. From being an escort to doctor's visits, assembling his own personal "medical team", even being an inhouse physical therapist, TJ was one of the most selfless souls on this earth.

TJ's soul was also very transparent in the love and support that he showed for his nieces and nephews. As an uncle, he felt a level of responsibility for making sure they knew how special they were to him. From random popup face-to-face visits, to his telephone calls and video chats, sometimes just to wish them good luck before a game or to impart some words of wisdom and encouragement, he was vested in their development and wellbeing.

He was the sunshine during any dark days we may have encountered.

A Time to Love & Reflect: Thomas was loved and cherished by so many people. To meet him was to just love him. To talk to him was to gain wisdom, knowledge, encouragement, understanding, and judgmental freedom and a prayer. To have him as a friend was to gain a faithful person until the end. TJ loved to travel and have fun with his friends.

A Time to Cherish : We will all miss those moments with TJ, but we hold on to the memories that were created. Preceding him in death were his maternal great-grandfather Timothy Tubbs, grandfather Ronald Tubbs (Lynn Johnson, living), great-grandfather James D. Ficklin Sr, and great-grandmother Sarah Frances Ficklin; paternal grandfather Thomas Lindsey Sewell III.

He leaves to cherish his memory, parents; Thomas L. Sewell IV (Janae) and Ronita Tubbs-Moore (Robert); maternal grandmother Yvonne "Elove" Tubbs (Earl); paternal grandmother Linda Bea; maternal great-grandmother Jimmie Dabbs; brothers, Dominick Tubbs, Timothy Tubbs, Brandon Sewell and Hunter Sewell; sisters, Brittany Tubbs, Nadiya Sewell and Virginia Mundy; nephews, Brayden Tubbs, Dominick Tubbs Jr and Bryce Bates; nieces, Leah Sewell, Lauryn Sewell and Ja'Nyla Watkins; uncles Ronald Tubbs Jr, Ronnell Beech, Christopher Sewell (Tiffany), Stephen L. Sewell and Keith Moore; aunts, Keisha Tubbs, Dominique Allen (Antwan), Lynnique Tubbs, Anise Sewell, Danielle Sewell, Dorthea Moore and Theresa Moore; special godmothers Kara Graves and Christine Moore; best friend, Dalan Carter; the love of his life, Kevorey Hartwell, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He also leaves to cherish an extremely special extended mother, Melissa Boston (Emil); brother, Tarique Rodgers. The family wishes to express much gratitude to Melissa for the multitude of exceptional attributes that she inspired him with.  She has extended him opportunities that may not have come without her love and dedication to TJ. Thank you, Melissa for loving him as if he were your own. Blood could not have made you closer.
